Working Fires

It has been a busy couple of weeks for the Hereford Volunteer Fire Company. Including three working fires, HVFC units responded to calls 63 times in the last 30 days.

Box 44-08: At 1647 hrs on May 23rd, E441 was alerted to a reported barn fire in the 16400 block of Cedar Grove Road in Sparks. Heavy smoke was visible during the response and the tanker strike team was requested. E441, S442, TSU444, TT446, and SU448 and surrounding fire companies worked for approximately 2.5 hours to extinguish a fully involved barn fire, an automobile fire, and an RV fire.

Box 39-12: At 1501 hrs on June 7th, E441 and S442 responded with a total of 8 personnel to a 2nd Alarm commercial building fire on York Road in Cockeysville. S442 conducted searches of the exposed buildings and assisted with extinguishing hot spots. E441 assumed RIT. Units operated on the scene for 4 hours.

Box 39-12: At 0541 hrs on June 12th, S442 responded with 6 personnel to a working dwelling fire on Bosley Avenue in Cockeysville. S442 assisted with extinguishment, ventilation, and overhaul.
