Training of Grain Bin Rescue Equipment

Saturday, the Hereford Volunteer Fire Company received grain bin rescue equipment from Nationwide Mutual Insurance. We received support from Jenell McHenry, with the MD Grain Producers, MD Farm Board, Baltimore County Farm Board.
Hereford VFC and the Baltimore County Fire Department were able to train with this lifesaving rescue panels and power auger equipment after receiving supplied training from Brian Freese from the National Education Center for Agriculture Safety in Iowa.
Also, a special shout out to Hunter Mill Farms for their assistance with the grain we needed for the training simulator.
We want to thank the community members and supporters that nominated to receive this equipment and look forward to educating local farmers on our new rescue capabilities.
